Chapter 9 of my autobiographical novel of my 11 week odyssey backpacking through Western Europe in 1973 at age 18. I leave Munich and the warm hospitality of Angelica and Helmut, strike out on my own again, and try to navigate, metaphorically at least, the tourist boats down the Rhine and Moselle rivers, plus finding hostels to stay at along the way. Contains some adult language and drug and sexual references.
